Commissioned by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the CDE conducts special dietary food registration reviews. A professional technical team in food nutrition and science along with the Specific Disease Formula Food Review Committee members reviews cases. A regulatory consultation mechanism has been established to assist the industry in filling regulatory and scientific gaps, communicating with the TFDA, and enhancing their regulatory knowledge. The CDE works as a bridge between the government and the industry.
